Ice Cream in a Bag

½ C milk
1 T sugar
1 t vanilla
6 T ice cream salt

Mix ice and salt in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag. Mix the other ingredients together and put in a small Ziploc bag. The thicker freezer bags work best. Put the small bag inside the larger one, and seal both bags. Shake for 5 minutes. Open and enjoy. Be careful not to allow salty water inside the bag of ice cream.

One mixture will make an individual serving. To make a larger batch, you can double or triple the recipe and use two cans with snap-on lids instead of the Ziploc bags. We found a large coffee can with a smaller can inside works well. Use a bit more ice and rock salt in the larger can. The kids can roll it back and forth to mix and freeze the ice cream. It will take a little while longer for a larger batch, but it will be worth it!
