On this cold, rainy Saturday afternoon, we all piled in the living room floor for a few rounds of Pick It while we listened to Frindle by Andrew Clements. We picked up this delightful audiobook at the library this week and enjoyed it so much!
It's the tale of a typical fifth grade boy with big ideas. It's fun to see (or hear) how they turn out. Our fifth grader thought it was great, but his older brother and sister also fully enjoyed it, as did mom and dad.
We are big readers in our house, but we also enjoy audiobooks from time to time. They are especially welcome on long car rides. Some of us tend to turn a bit green when we read in a moving vehicle, so listening to a story is a welcome departure from the drive.
We are also huge Adventures in Odyssey fans. My kids have Odyssey episodes on their iPods, believe it or not.
Do you listen to audiobooks or enjoy other radio programs with your family? Tell me about it! We'd love to try some new things.
